The Garden Theatre Festival
Be immersed in the world of cheeky toads, Shakespeare galore, beautiful cabaret, slapstick, laughter, and so much more.
Sip a beer under a warm sunset, relax on your rolled out blanket, at Bath’s newest open-air theatre festival.
The Garden Theatre Festival is back in Bath for its second year. Bigger, better and with even more laughter. This year’s festival will be your chance to make fantastic memories with the ones you love in the magical gardens of the Holbourne Museum. With a whole host of events from children’s theatre to late night music events, there’s something for everyone!
Featuring superb performances, music and comedy from renowned companies such as, The Three Inch Fools, The Handlebards, Peoples String Foundation and Bath’s very own Calf2Cow.
So bring your chairs, blankets and snacks, find a spot, grab a bottle from our own outdoor garden bar, and settle in for Bath’s newest, most memorable event of the summer!

Access to the venue thirty minutes before main doors. This gives you the opportunity to get your preferred spot in the garden. Half a bottle of prosecco, or soft drink alternative, per ticket. Luxury nibbles (vegan).

Family (two adults to children): £75
Baby changing areas are available for use on the ground floor of the Holburne Museum. All events are pushchair accessible.
Fully accessible and disabled toilets are available for use on the ground floor of the Holburne Museum.
All events will have an on-site first aider ready to respond to any emergencies.
All events are wheelchair accessible.
Our whole festival is relaxed and welcoming, but there is a formally relaxed showing of Wind and the Willows at 2pm on Friday 5th August.
The Garden Bar is an exciting new addition to the festival.
After the evening performances finish the Garden Bar will remain open for people to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. On certain evenings expect surprise pop-up live music performances.
For shows starting at 7pm, premier ticket holders can arrive at 5:30pm to relax and enjoy the venue. For other show times, premier ticket holders can arrive thirty minutes early. Enjoying the space is all part of the GTF experience.
